Initials found on pedigrees of the German dogs.

HD : Hüftgelenks-Dysplasy: Dysplasy of the hip.
HD - or HD Frei: indemme of dysplasy of the hip. In France, HD - corresponds to quotation A.
HD +/-: normal stage, in France it is quotation B.
HD+: light dysplasy, in France it is quotation C.
HD++: average dysplasy, in France it is quotation D.
HD+++: severe dysplasy, in France it is quotation E.

ED : Ellenbogengelenks-Dysplasie: Dysplasy of the elbow. In France we start to radiograph the young dogs to detect this dysplasy.
ED is him also accompanied by one of the symbols -, +, + +, +++. In Germany these signs tend to disappear, they consider in fact that the normal stage does not exist for the elbows, the dog is either healthy (ED or ED frei) or slightly dysplasic (ED +) or more.

BH : Begleithund : test of sociability. This test does not have any exact equivalent in France. Such as it is practised in Germany but also in Austria and in Belgium, it comprises a course downtown where one studies the reaction of the dog to circulation, with the passage of bicycles, of a group of runners to feet, in short with completely real situations. In France, we have the CSAU (Certificate of Sociability and Aptitude for the Use) this test artificial and is often practised on a ground of work. Most of the time, it is galvaudée bus dispatched "over the leg".

AD : Ausdauerprüfung: Shake-down test. The dogs carry out au.trot a course of 20 km split in three stages: 8 km, 7 km and 5 km. 15 minutes of recovery to the first stop, 15 minutes with the second. At the beginning of the test and for each stop, the veterinary surgeon consigns the heart rate of the participants like their capacity of recovery. At the arrival, 20 minutes separate the first statement of heart rate from the second statement (that which indicates the level of recovery of the dog). The purpose of this test is to highlight malformations or cardiac insufficiencies. In France, one now finds the initials TE (endurance test) it is a certified copy of the German test.

ZTP : uchttauglichkeitsprüfung: in France, only the ESC (Complementary Examination of Selection) is the quasi exact equivalent in its unfolding. It is acted as Germany of the examination to which must satisfy all the future parents of pups registered to the ADRK (the males and the females).
Passed at the minimum age of 18 months, the examination is composed of a complete description of the dog (included measurements) by a judge ADRK, of a test of sociability (attitude in a group of people) and tests of character: reaction to the shot, corrosive on a man of attack leaving a hiding place located at a few meters, interception of face of a man of attack charging the dog since a distance of 40 meters.
Only the dogs having satisfied entirely with this examination will be authorized to reproduce when they reach the 24 months age. It should be noted that to pass this examination, the dogs must have made a success of their BH beforehand and to present hips HD - or HD +/- and elbows ED - or ED +.
It is thus abusive to present the examination of French confirmation like the equivalent of the ZTP. Admittedly the confirmation conditions the aptitude to generate pups registered with the LOF, but, in France, we pass the confirmation to rottweilers archi-dysplasic or completely inapt for defense.

FH : Fartenhund: test of tracking on two levels (FH or FH 1 then FH 2). We can compare that with our French tracking except that the FH is not also elaborate. 70 points on 100 are necessary to satisfy each level.

IPO : Internationalprüfungsordnung: Rules of International Contest. This sporting discipline has a very complete program where the stress is laid on the joy of the dog in the exercises. Contest IPO or RCI is composed of three tests.
- One test of tracking noted on 100 points which is done in longe of 10 meters.
- One test of obedience noted on 100 points, this one comprises a hurdling, to bring back an object, a remote blocking in laid down position, walk with the foot without leaves and of sociability.
- One test of defense noted on 100 points, the corrosive one is carried out with the arm on a sleeve of the frabo type (made up of a hull articulated out of plastic and a special preparing).
Discipline IPO or RCI has three levels: IPO I IPO II and IPO III. To obtain to initials IPO I the dog must obtain with the minimun 70 in tracking and obedience, and 80 minimum in defense. It will be able to then try the IPO II, the IPO III.
To pass the IPOI,le dog must be 18 months old minimum, 19 month for the IPOII and 20 months for the IPOIII. The dog must of course cross the levels in the order.

KORUNG : This test will lead according to cases to obtaining Gekört bis followed of a date or Gekört bis EZA.
Körung is the centre piece of the German program of selection. The success or the failure with this dreaded test, very often conditions the continuation of the career of the dog: how many reproducers were they sold abroad bus having definitively failed Körung?
The criteria to be able to register the dog with this test are already a true course of the combatant:
- 36 months minimum age for the males, 30 months for the females. Maximum 5 years.
- to have obtained the ZTP, therefore also the BH and hips HD - or HD +/-.
- to have obtained the AD.
- to have IPO III for the males, the IPO I for the females.
- to have eyes dark, not clearer than 3a on the color chart, as well as a good pigmentation of mouth.
- to have obtained with 3 gatherings of breeding ADRK the "Excellent or Very Good" qualifier under two different judges.
- to have produced for the males, 3 ranges without hereditary defects. For the females, a range without hereditary defects.
With the help of satisfaction with all these criteria, the dog can present itself at the test! This one is organized twice per annum, once in spring (Frühjahrskörung) and once in autumn (Herbstkörung), over one complete weekend.
The course of the test is almost identical to that of the ZTP (measurements, description, sociability, reaction to the shot) but the work of defense is more complex: discovered of criminal behind a hiding place and description by barking, interception of the criminal in escape, suspensions and refills. The interception of face is done with 60 meters and the load is much more virulent.
In general, only half of the committed dogs makes a success of this test... to say as much that those which made a success of it are subjects which hold the road.
All the comments (description in statics, measurements, comments on the quality of work) are public.
Better, the dog which made a success of the test sees granting the title of "Gekört bis" for two years : these initials being accompanied by a date which indicates the moment when the dog will have to be represented with this test. If, at the end of two years, it is presented again and makes a success of once again Körung, it will be seen decreeing the envied title of "Gekört bis EzA".
In the event of failure in Körung, the dog will be able to try again only once.
These selection of the race, attract many people who come from the whole world, everything is filmed and the cassettes are marketed: the transparency is total and the judgements are without call. By the way, whoever collects these cassettes constitutes files of a big priceless, because they get the vidéos (in statics and with work) of all large the rottweilers of the history of the ADRK since 1986 (date on which one started to film)
Each year, the results of all these tests are consigned in the book of breeding ADRK where appear also all the ranges born in the year with all the hereditary defects of the pups. The descriptions of ZTP, Körung and scores of IPO also appear in it. The book is available to the sale with whoever claims it.

TITLES OF BEAUTY :
KJS : Klubjugendsieger or Klubjugensiegerin (females): champion of the young club. This title rewards each year the best young person for the main road of breeding ADRK, famous Klubschau. It should be noted that this exposure proposes two young classes: 12-18 month and 18-24 month.
KS : Klubsieger or Klubsiegerin (females): the supreme title of the main road of breeding ADRK, where it is not rare to see three to four hundred registered dogs and which is held over two days in August, rewards the best male and the best female for the exposure. This title is played between the winners of the classes opened, work and champion. It is the best title of the year, it is often synonymous, for a male, many reservations of projection and for a female, ranges very easily (and often very dearly) sold.
